Yup…it’s time to diet AGAIN.

I’m not big-boned.  I’m not fat, either…but I can definitely stand to lose a few…ok, 20…pounds.

I’ve been trying various ways, including Weight Watchers.  I couldn’t do the no-carb diet.  (Chocolate is one of my major food groups.)  Simple calorie reduction isn’t working…I starve, then binge.

Actually, Weight Watchers worked the best for me until now.  But it does get tiresome tracking ‘points’ and still feels pretty restrictive.

Which is why I’m now all about this new ‘calorie-shift’ diet thing.

I won’t go into all the detail…you can read about it here: (Diet For Idiots), but basically it allows me to eat the same foods I eat now, IN THE SAME QUANTITIES.  That’s what I like about it!  But the idea is to shift around when I eat the foods throughout the day.  I’m basically ‘tricking’ my body by keeping it guessing as to what food is coming next.  It does something to my metabolism to keep it going.  (ie: more energy and more sustained calorie burn)

The site with all the information even has an online planner that helps schedule things out.  It’s SO MUCH easier to stick with a plan that involves all my normal foods.
